Eddie Bazil is very well known in the music industry and has been associated with bands, labels, studios, and teaching institutions.
As a member of MCPS, and having material released through a number of other publishing houses, Eddie's works have extended to the global markets.
His initial foray into the music industry began, in his teens, with programming
contracts for some of the most notable Electro/New Wave and Dance/Rap bands in
this industry, primarily: AON, Juice, C.Campbell, Bobin, Paul Dee, Jets Orchestra,
Krush, and many more, too many to list in this short bio.
His talents progressed
him into the remix market with notable remixes for Busta Rhymes, SFP, Bobin, Dee,
Krush, Shadow, Sleeveless, Greensleeves and Gam Productions.
His involvement,
both as a programmer and producer, with a number of labels and artistes, has been
very fruitful and soul satisfying, a number of tracks achieving top positions
in their genre respective charts. The experience gained from working with and
for such a who's who list of artistes, ensured that Eddie gain an insight into
the sound desires of the music industry. Working with these industry giants afforded
a standard of quality that Eddie, till today, maintains in all his works, be it
sound design, production or simply tutoring. Quality will be his epitaph.
This seemed to be a natural progression into the sound effects and sound design markets for Eddie. Further contracts ensued with credits for independent film scores, and theatre sound tracks, an example being the Cambridge Shakespeare Company for their rendition of Macbeth. The challenges confronting any sound designer are to maintain top quality whilst using limited space. These are factors that excited Eddie and made the world of sound design so attractive. As he puts it: 'I love pressure'. It was inevitable that manufacturers would commission his talents in sound design contracts.
In the last decade Eddie has been primarily contracted for production projects, for a number of labels and studios, teaching at workshops, and for sound design contracts for a number of manufacturers.
The list is quite impressive. Boasting sound design contracts for Emu, Propellerheads, Kiesel, Sound Effects Library, Native Instruments and now submissions to Arturia, and a few other companies that NDAs restrict exposure.
In addition, he pioneered the protection of the digital distribution mechanism by designing and patenting the Sine Wave Protection Protocol (SWPP), a system now used by many DD companies.
Multimedia contracts were to follow in the .com boom. Alphadot was a contract that was thrown round Eddie's way, and the writing and production of the music to this huge campaign brought a barrage of multimedia contracts. You will be mildly surprised to know that many of the websites today use Eddie's effects and scores.
The past 3 years has seen Eddie move more and more into the sound design and
remix markets. Most of the projects that he has been involved in have been contracts
exclusively for artistes and labels. Using his pseudonym 'Zukan', or simply staying
anonymous, Eddie has been quietly pleased at the success of some of his work in
the public domain.
His 'custom made' sound packages have gained notoriety within the Hip Hop and Dance genres, and this has spilled across into providing affordable sample packs across his network sites.
Eddie has also maintained a healthy relationship with some of the most notable
recording studios in the industry, and is registered as a sound consultant with
a number of them.
Eddie is now fully committed to providing content for his network and for sound design contracts for manufacturers and labels. Production still remains his passion, but the obstacles thrown at him in the SF world are teasers that are hard to resist.
Eddie's current projects have and include tutorial e-books for the audio production industry plus being published by PC-Publishing with hard copy books on the subject of Production.
