Sample packs

All commercial sounds available from Samplecraze.com are completely licence free. This means that once you have purchased a sample pack from the site, you can use the samples in any commercial musical production without the need to pay any additional fees or royalties.

IMPORTANT: It is a condition of sale that you give credit to us on any commercial release. This creditation must be in the following form:

The payment you make to download the sounds gives you the non-exclusive right to incorporate these sounds in any sound and/or audiovisual production, such as a phonogram, soundtrack for a film, music production, television show, theatre show, musical, advertisement, website, video game, or other media production.

You may not distribute, sell, rent, lease, sub-license, assign, or otherwise transfer any of the sounds except as incorporated in a production. You may not distribute the sounds independently of a production, or with any directions or instructions as to how the Sounds may be extracted from a production, or with any invitation, suggestion or authorization that the sounds may be extracted from a production.

You may not distribute the Sounds, either in native format or reformatted, filtered, re-synthesized or otherwise edited, for use as sounds, multi-sounds, samples, multi-samples of as programs or patches in a sampler, sample playback unit, website or computer. The Sounds cannot be used as source playback from ROM or chip sets or embedded in any chip set.

Please be aware that all our sound file contain binary encoding. This form of digital protection is recognised in a court of law. It cannot be overriden or removed.

We will aggressively prosecute any individual or company that infringes our copyright policy.

Demo Sounds from Sample Packs

Demonstration sound files are presented as an opportunity to gauge the suitability of a sample pack before purchase - these files are copyright protected. If you wish to use these demos in any commercial production, you will need written permission from Samplecraze.com.

Where you can use your sounds

The Packs

All downloadable sample packs are presented as compressed Winzip files. All the files are thoroughly tested to ensure they are working 100% - we download all our packs on a regular basis to ensure they are still in perfect working order. In order to extract your sounds from these zip files, you need to use Winzip - we cannot guarantee that you packs will open in other decompression software.

Please note that native MPC Sound files will not play by default in PCs or Macs without additional software being installed.

Cds and Cd roms

All our sample CDs are burned onto high quality CDR media and are formatted to ISO 9660 standards. All CD ROMS are tested before dispatch in a PC running Windows XP and an Emu Emulator X and an Emu Ultra sampler, with a Toshiba CD ROM drive. We cannot be held responsible if your CD ROM drive cannot play CDR media correctly.

Downloading Sample Packs

Please download your sample packs soon after purchase. For security reasons, all download links become invalid after 48 hours - if your link has become invalid, please contact us to revalidate it.

Many of the sample packs on this site are over 10MB in size and hence we recommend you use a fast, broadband internet connection to download with.

Sometimes during download, a sample pack can become corrupted. There are many reasons for this, the main ones being:

Interference on your internet connection
Drop Outs on your internet connection
Use of Download Acceleration Software such as Gozilla and Download Accelerator.

We cannot be held responsible for such corruptions as this is completely beyond our control - we can assure you that all sample packs are in 100% perfect working order on our servers. If your sample pack is corrupted, simply download it again.

Returns Policy

Due to the very real issues of software piracy, we regret that we cannot offer refunds in any situation. If your sample pack is corrupted (as described above), you are welcome to download it again and if that link becomes invalidated, we will happily reset it for you free of charge.

If refunds are ever made on any purchase, please note that there is a 20% administration fee to pay to cover all costs involved in refunding your money.

We urge you to read all product information carefully and download the demonstrations of each pack before purchase. The demonstrations are there to give you a good representation of the type and style of sounds on offer within that particular pack. Please ensure that the pack you are buying is suitable for the style of music you are creating.

We cannot refund purchases for incompatibility issues.

Physical Sample Disks

You accept that in the case of physical sample disk sales, you are purchasing only the sounds contained within the disks and not the disk themselves - the price you pay is only for the sounds on the disk. The physical disks themselves merely represent an easy method of sound delivery and as such, these disks are not included in any guarantee. We recommend you immediately transfer any sounds you receive from us to your own preferred storage media. We test all CDROMS for errors before we dispatch them to you. If your actual disk is damaged and does not play in your equipment, please first ensure that it is not your equipment that is at fault. We recommend regularly cleaning your CD ROM drive with a specialist cleaning unit. If you are sure that it is the CD ROM disk itself that is at fault, please return the disk to us within 28 days of receipt and we will ship out a replacement free of charge. Before doing so, please contact us so we know to expect your return. We strongly suggest that you send your disk via a recorded delivery service so you have a record of it's arrival. The return address is shown on your invoice.

If a returned disk is found to be fully working, we reserve the right to charge for return delivery.

These terms do not affect your statutory rights.
